Write down how much storage your photos use today, and make sure the ones that matter are backed up.

Camera Roll Cleanup Checklist
A Markdown checklist for clearing out a phone photo library in short sessions — screenshots, near-duplicates, big videos, then the rest — without deleting anything you will miss.
How to use it
Decide once, then clean up quickly
Work through the passes in order, one short session at a time, starting with the categories you can decide fastest.
Check what you marked for deletion one last time, then empty the trash and note how much space came back.
Why clean up in passes instead of scrolling from the top?
Because each kind of clutter needs a different decision. Screenshots are usually a quick no, similar shots need a comparison, and videos are few but large. Doing one kind at a time keeps every decision fast and keeps a session short enough to finish.
Why has my storage not gone down after deleting photos?
Phones keep deleted photos in Recently Deleted (iPhone) or the trash (Android) for about 30 days so you can recover them. The space only comes back when that trash is emptied, which is why the checklist ends with that step.
How does KeepIt help with this?
KeepIt has a filter for each pass — Screenshots, Videos sorted largest first, Live Photos, and groups of similar shots with a suggested best frame — and puts everything you mark on one delete list, so nothing is removed until you check it and confirm.
